Krauss Maffei of Munich Germany, a world leader in plastics machinery has
opened a new TechCentre in Shanghai, China in July 2009. This investment
strengthens their commitment within the region as a knowledge driven
engineering company and sends a clear message to the plastics processing
industry in these difficult economic times – that they are dedicated to
upgrading the quality and scope of their customer support, in an expanding
marketplace.
China has been identified as a large growth area for the automotive
industry, as the demand for personal mobility increases. “With our strong
local presence, we at Krauss Maffei are capable of offering car makers and
component suppliers decisive support from the product development phase
onwards”, explains Harald Schweitzer, Head of Krauss Maffei China. “With our
new TechCentre for reaction process machinery we are strengthening our
development and engineering support in the challenging area of automotive
interior parts”.
The TechCentre is like a production centre that is staffed by highly-trained
specialists, offering customers a wide range of support with mould design,
assembly and acceptance tests, together with prototyping facilities. The
new centre is home to the sales and service operations of the company’s
three technology divisions – Injection Moulding Machinery, Extrusion and
Reaction Processing Machinery. |
